25 Ago, 2018A crónica do nosso casamento

I was told by my closest friends and my dear mother, to get a good night sleep, relax and take it easy, cause it was going to be my day. How could i take it easy when all i wanted was for everything to be absolutely perfect.
The morning of my wedding, my mum and sister and my two best friends, took me out for a lovely brunch, and we spoke about travelling, love and commitment, and it almost got me to relax, until i looked at the time and could not believe how late we were to getting ready.
So we rushed back to my suite at the "Browns Central Hotel", which by the way was absolutely grand, where my make-up artist was just arriving, got to the room and began to prepare, obviously with a bottle of champagne to help calm the nerves. The photographers followed suit, and the fun began. My hair was done, my make-up was done, it was time to reveal my dress, and boy was it magical... and the emotions and crying began... already.
It was like watching a comedy reel happen in front of you, where it seemed like dresses in different shades of purple where flying everywhere, make up items being swapped, while photographers snapped away with their cameras trying to capture every bit of it, every moment and every emotion. Everyone was ready to go, and all my bridesmaids looked so beautiful. I already felt so happy and filled with love that getting to the wedding venue felt like a 2 minute drive.
Once at the venue, I had to wait in the car for 15 minutes, while everyone got to their positions and everything was perfect for when i went in... getting positioned outside the entrance to the ceremony, my bridesmaid fixed my dress and my very long veil, lastly i was given my gorgeous bouquet and greeted by my father and stepfather, whom both walked me down the aisle. The decision to having both my dads walk me is because they both worked so hard to give me everything and the love they have always given me, i had to honor them by allowing this magical day start with both of them giving me away to my future husband.
The moment i saw my future husband, i knew i was definitely the luckiest woman alive, to be marrying the most wonderful man, my best friend and my soulmate. I realized that, from that point onward life would never be the same again.
I walked to canon D by Pachelbel and all i have to say is that it was perfect. The altar was just as i have envisioned and the flowers where the pop of color that seemed like a beautiful painting.
We had our good friend Selene officiate the wedding for us, she just happens to be a professional French comedian who did the most amazing job, obviously it was filled with laughter. The best men read their dedications to the groom, who was profusely embarrassed by the stories of his bachelor escapades, and then i had my bridesmaids give their little dedication to me and finally my sister and bridesmaids sang a song that got everyone teared- eyed. After that it was time to read our vows, his was perfect obviously... me on the other hand i realized that my vows where left at the hotel so i winged it, which made everyone smile and also share in my raw emotion, but at least i made everyone cry with me too.
Our fairy-tale story, had a spectacular and wonderful start. To have shared it with our families and friends who came from near and far, their effort and love only fueled what we already felt on our special day.
I am one lucky woman
